The ministry said the latest distinctions highlight Dominica's underwater attractions and reinforce its profile as a destination for diving and marine tourism.
The recognitions span multiple categories, reflecting the breadth of what Dominica offers below the surface — from its volcanic reefs and dramatic drop-offs to its celebrated marine life and clear waters. The ministry did not immediately release the full breakdown of categories, but confirmed the island featured across 11 of them.
For Dominica, the result is more than a trophy. Dive tourism is a key pillar of the island's visitor economy, drawing travellers who stay longer and spend more than the average cruise passenger.
