Augustus Antoine Registe, better known as Joe, of Picarty Road, Mahaut, has died at the age of 75. He passed away on 17th September at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital.
He is survived by his son, Answorth Leroy Registe; step-daughters Cassandra, Lexsandra and Sandra Thomas; and step-son Mershley Bastien. His sisters are Christianey Valentine, Juliana Parillon, Judith George, Ann Moses and Jeanill Angol.
His nieces and nephews include Franklyn Small, Christine Joseph, Cheryl Destouche, Tammy and Junior Edmond, Magline Defoe, Wilson and Barry Telemacque, Kurshner Telemacque-Rabess, Brian Defoe, Tanna, Marcus and Mervin Moses, Jamie Joseph, Hubert and Wayne Winston, and Myrtle, Kay and Shana Alexander. He also leaves 27 grand nieces and nephews, among them Jermaya and Rahul Winston.
His brothers-in-law are Aird Valentine, Algernon Parillon, Philson George and Ronnel Alexander. Other relatives and friends include Mark, Ossie and Sisco Henry and family; Desmond Charles; Ivan Thomas; Ferguson; Tony; John; Karla; Hendrickson; the Isidore family; the Picarty community; and many other relatives and friends whose names are too numerous to mention.
The funeral service will take place on Thursday, 24th September at the Mahaut Berean Church. Viewing is at 2:00 p.m., followed by the church service at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow at the Mahaut Public Cemetery.
