The family of Graham Mathew Prince, 60, of Grand Fond, better known as “Jason Clay,” has announced his passing on Tuesday, 11th August 2026, at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital. His funeral service will be held on September 11th at the Grand Fond Roman Catholic Church, with viewing beginning at 2:00 pm and the service at 3:00 pm. Interment will follow at the Rosalie Roman Catholic Cemetery.
Mr. Prince leaves to mourn his children Jermin, Curlson, Josley, Delon, Udi, and Shernelle, as well as his grandchildren Jolando, Jowayne, Dimitri, Dejanae, Delainio, Delaini, Deandre, and Sadie. He is also survived by his brothers Michael, McMillan, Noah, and Rodney, and his sisters Juliette, Heliner, Clementina, and Vincia.
His extended family includes brothers-in-law Forbes, sisters-in-law Shermel and Raven, and numerous nephews and nieces, including Keelan, Jennings, Marlon Jr., Shaquille, Rodney Jr., Shahid, Celine, Sherice, Miniya, Malikah, Michaela, Zoraya, Myisha, Shermichael, and Leah. He also leaves uncles Jno Baptiste Prince and Nichols Prince, aunts Josephine Blanchard and Virginia Matthew, and a wide circle of cousins from the Prince, Lazare, John Baptiste, Roberts, Henderson, Cuffy, and Polydore families of Grand Fond and Riviere Cyrique.
The family has expressed gratitude to the nurses and doctors at the LaPlaine and Castle Bruce Health Districts and Imary Ward, including Nurse Baron, Nurse Ophar, and Nurse Warrington, as well as the fire officers at the La Plaine and Castle Bruce Ambulance Stations. Special mention was also made of Hon. Gretta Roberts, Hon. Dr. Irving McIntyre, and Dr. Collin McIntyre.
Friends including Macklyne, Clem, Robinson, Zaire, Vilyn, Bert, José, Clino, Jonathan, Nilsan, Steve, Davidson, Burnette, Veronica, Anthony/Shoobie, Rita, Lloyd, and Rex, along with other relatives and friends too numerous to mention, have been invited to join the family in paying their respects at the service.
