The Government of Dominica has reported continued progress on the Loubiere–Grand Bay Road Project, saying the important southern corridor is now nearing completion. In a statement, the Government expressed appreciation to residents and motorists for their cooperation and patience while construction works continue along the route.

Work has been carried out on four sections of the road, according to the Government. The project forms part of wider efforts to improve the island's road network and ease travel between Roseau and communities in the south, including Grand Bay.

The Loubiere–Grand Bay road is a key link for residents, commuters, farmers, fishers and traders who use it daily, and the upgrade is expected to improve safety and travel times once finished. The Government's acknowledgement of patience suggests that disruptions have been felt by those who rely on the corridor.

No completion date was given in the statement, but officials described the project as nearing completion. Motorists are advised to continue exercising caution in the area while works are finalised.

Dominica 1 will carry further details, including any official announcement on the reopening or handover of the completed road, as they become available.
