The Electoral Office of Dominica has announced that voter identification cards are now available for collection by electors in the Roseau Valley constituency who have been approved for voter confirmation.
The cards are being distributed at the Electoral Office on Jewel Street in Roseau. Collection hours are Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The Roseau Valley constituency covers registered voters in the polling districts of Trafalgar, Laudat, Wotten Waven, Morne Prosper/Copt Hall, and Cochrane.
Electors who wish to collect a card on behalf of another person must present a notarized letter of authorization along with a 25-cent stamp.
The announcement follows a similar notice for the St. Joseph and Soufriere constituencies, where voter identification cards became available for collection on Tuesday 1st September. The Electoral Office has been rolling out card distribution across constituencies as part of the voter confirmation process.
Electors are reminded to bring appropriate identification when collecting their cards and to verify that their personal details are correct upon receipt. Those with questions about the collection process or their voter status are encouraged to contact the Electoral Office directly during business hours.
The distribution of voter ID cards is part of ongoing efforts to update and confirm the electoral register ahead of upcoming electoral exercises in the Commonwealth of Dominica.
