The House of Assembly will convene on Tuesday 22 September, bringing members back to the chamber in Roseau for a scheduled sitting of Dominica's Parliament.
The sitting is set to proceed under the usual standing orders, with the business of the House to be transacted in the capital. Members of the Government and the Opposition are expected to attend.
The House of Assembly is the elected legislature of the Commonwealth of Dominica, comprising the Speaker, elected Representatives and appointed Senators. It is the forum where national legislation, the annual budget and matters of public policy are debated and decided.
Residents across the island — from Portsmouth and the Kalinago Territory to Grand Bay and the eastern villages — follow the work of the House closely, as decisions taken in Roseau shape public services, infrastructure and the national programme.
