The Dominica Cycling Association has confirmed that two of its riders will carry the island's colours at the Caribbean Cycling Championships in the Dominican Republic on October 11, 2026.

Elite cyclist Kohath Baron and under-23 rider Ajani Casimir have been selected to represent both the association and Dominica at the regional meet, the association announced.

The pairing brings together an established elite competitor and a younger rider from the under-23 ranks, giving Dominica representation in two categories at the championships.

Baron, who races in the elite division, is among the island's most recognisable cyclists and has carried Dominica's colours at regional competition before. Casimir's selection in the under-23 category points to the association's continuing work in bringing younger riders through to the senior ranks.

The Caribbean Cycling Championships gather national teams and riders from across the region for road and track events, and the meet is one of the main fixtures on the regional cycling calendar. For a small island association such as Dominica's, the championships offer riders the chance to test themselves against the strongest competitors in the Caribbean.

Dominica's participation also gives the association a platform to measure its development programme against regional standards. Sending an elite rider and an under-23 rider to the same championships allows the association to compete at the top level while exposing a younger athlete to the demands of Caribbean competition.

The event is scheduled for October 11, 2026, in the Dominican Republic. The date places the championships within the regional cycling season and gives both riders a clear target for their training and preparation.

Further details on the team's preparation, travel arrangements and the specific events in which Baron and Casimir will compete are expected to be released by the Dominica Cycling Association ahead of the championships.

Dominica has long been represented in regional cycling, and the association's announcement confirms that the island will again be on the start line in the Dominican Republic in October 2026.
