Tilson Walter, better known as “Rabbit,” of Moore Park, died on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at the Portsmouth R.F.A. Hospital. He was 63 years old.
Mr. Walter is remembered by his mother, Robelline Walter; two brothers, Frank Walter and Alington Walter; and five sisters, Nazarine Walter, Prisca Walter, Malahel Brenda Walter, Christine Walter, and Alice Walter. His memory also lives on through his many nieces and nephews, including Aurelie, Rissa, Susan, Stella, Joycelyn, Jasmine, Angel, Fallan, Alishia, Celia, Ingrid, Kirsha, Gracia, Chris, Christon, Leon, Yowick, Yane, Shalton, Brindel, Hendricks, Danny, and Jervon.
He is also survived by his aunt, Cythie Sylvester; godfather, Shelly Ferrol; and a wide circle of cousins, including Jefferson, Ferril, Mckelson, Johnathan, Kareem, Kelly Ferrol, Hermina John, Delas Lawrence, Tony and Mike Sylvester, as well as special cousins Bertley John and Eurille Matthew. His sister-in-law, Lucia Walter, and brother-in-law, Mark Malahel, also mourn his passing.
Close relatives and friends include Ceasarina Ferrol, Justina Ferrol, Merle Lawrence, Dorita Ferierra, Michael, Norbert Duverney, Clara Ferrol, Merina John, Ashod Anthony, Roselyn Paul, and Matthew Walter and family. The family also acknowledges Dr. Timbi Wallace and Angelica Pierre Louis and family, as well as the Prime Minister of Dominica, Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit, and Lakeyia Joseph, Parliamentary Representative for the Paix Bouche Constituency.
Gratitude is extended to the staff of the Oncology Department of the Dominica China Friendship Hospital and the doctors and nurses of the R.F.A. Hospital for their care. The entire communities of Moore Park and Paix Bouche, along with other relatives and friends too numerous to mention, are also remembered in this time of loss.
The body of the late Tilson Walter will be viewed at the Paix Bouche Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m., followed by interment at the Paix Bouche Public Cemetery.
