The United Progressive Party (UPP) has announced its full support for Mr. Danny Lugay, the United Workers Party (UWP) candidate for the Roseau North Constituency, in the upcoming by-election. The decision, announced under the leadership of Mr. Joshua Francis, is consistent with the UPP's stated commitment to building strategic cooperation among opposition forces in the Commonwealth of Dominica.
The UPP said it believes that tactical voting and cooperation between opposition parties can bring down what it describes as an increasingly corrupt and inept Dominica Labour Party regime. The party noted that Mr. Lugay has served the people of Roseau North with dedication and has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to public service. It recognised his experience, familiarity with the constituency, and willingness to advocate for the concerns of its residents.
The party is therefore encouraging the people of Roseau North to support his candidacy and return a strong opposition voice to Parliament.
